RE: Pairing amp with Klipsch Horn loaded speakers

I'd get a refurbished valve preamp and a smallish "class T" or class D power amp. Valves in preamps are less sensitive to manipulation and are protected inside the box in most cases; class D amps are essentially neutral and will let all the warmth of the valve preamp trough. Plus they run cold and can stay ON 24/7.
