RE: Pairing amp with Klipsch Horn loaded speakers

Many years ago, I owned a nice pair of Klipsch Cornwalls and wanted to switch from my old tube amp to solid state separates. My audio dealer at the time suggested GAS (Great American Sound) components. I ended up buying a Thalia preamp and a Grandson power amp. I recall these components had a very detailed, clean sound. The Grandson was ca. 40W/Ch--way more than enough to drive K-Horns. You may find a used Grandson for considerably less that your budget allowance.

I still have the Thalia and am using it on and off in my present system, and it sounds very good.

Good luck with your search!

George
