Dalaudio, based in Ohio, makes superb gainclones at very reasonable prices, starting around $200.For T-amps, I recommend you try two amplifiers, very reasonably priced:
* Topping TP20 - around $99, available on ebay, Springwater audio in Canada, or Parts Express in the US - TA2020 based amp - puts out 10 watts or so at 8 ohms. The Topping is as good as the Trends at about half the price, ditto Kingrex. Nice quality construction also.
* Dayton Audio DTA-100a - $99 - Parts Express - puts out around 20 watts at 8 ohms
Warning: Both gainclones and T-amps can be addictive. You will be amazed at the quality of sound for the price.
You will need sensitive speakers to use T-amps, especially a TA2020 or TA2024 based amplifier. If you speakers are moderately sensitive, move them into a small roomm when you first try the amp.
