Grants were imported by Falcon Audio into Canada, and initially shipped from there to me in Nanuet NY, where I provided design support, distribution, and warranty service. The two great problems with the Grant stuff was the ironwork, and component rating too clkose to the operating condition to make me comfortable.
Roy had several standard sized parts that could be assembled to the size needed, and have a top plate attached. Unfortunately, the parts were pre-painted and getting a good ground all around was touchy. Toothed washers didn't help, so we ended up, especially on the 200 watters, building a bus bar that was circuit and panel grounded as close to the input as possible, and then picked up each panel piece from there on. So opwen loop hum was a bugbear.
Typically, we swapped out the P/s caps for higher voltage rating
Personally, I liked the 60 watt monos with KT77s, and those attractive wooden cheek pieces made easy handles to move the stuff.
Tha Ansolute Sound had two pairs of the 200watters, and Harry really loved them,
