I don't recall the model number of the kits I made, but they definitely used tubes, I suppose either 6L6 or KT88, the standard output tubes at the time IIRC. I did buy a very used SS Dynaco amp some years ago, but gave it to a local dealer after trying it -- the dealer didn't seem particularly grateful even for a free stereo amp.
