RE: You are measuring AC, not DC

He said he used it with the rotary switch on the third position from the left (second from the Off position) which is indeed for measuring DC voltage (in the manual it says from 1 mV to 1000 V; the next position measure DC voltage from 0.1mV to 600mV).
