ASR Emitter II as preamp or amp

Hi,
I want to try out my ASR in a biamp config. The thought:
CD to asr to low end end of speaker. asr to tube amp to high end of speaker. Volume is still controlled by asr pot.
Does anyone know if this is possible? If yes, what is the proper connection?
Do I need to change any internal setting?
Does anyone know the purpose of Komp switch inside asr?
