Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

I have a pair on ASL Hurricane Monoblocks being controled by a Lector Zoe (no balance control) preamp. My right channel has started playing at a much lower volume level than the left channel. By swapping interconnects, I have determined that the issue is either with my amps or my speakers. All my bias readings, tubes etc., appear to be fine. Unfortunately, due to my system setup swapping speaker cables in order to determine if the amp or the speaker is the culprit, is quite a process. My question is; is there an easy way to test an amplifiers output by putting a multimeter across the speaker's binding posts. If so, what setting would I use? Any help would save me from the time consuming process of swapping speaker cables Thanks...sloopjazz
