Denon PM 920..lights up but no click nor sound

well, the owners manual doesnt address this :) the amp powers up, lights all work, but there isnt a "click", nor is there any sound/hum or anything at any volume, guy said he replaced all the fuses and i checked them and they are the correct ones, but, is a 125 volt 8 amp fuse a 125 volt 8amp fuse? in other words, are they all the same animal no matter where i get them? i did notice that they seem kinda small in the holders but everything is touching so nothing there i suppose. no burnt smell or funky looking burned marks either. ideas??
