The reviewers of these tweaks make claims that infer they will literally transform a system component. The same reviewers then use these "devices" in conjunction with another product to review it. Why have you ignored the jist of my point and the way it relates to the original post where a fellow is wondering why the stock power cord was ignored in the review? I can only guess- when you sell the amps you can increase your profits by adding on these bandaids to the customers ticket. As long as you the dealer, the "press", and the "voicer" of these amps say they should spend the money it makes it alright.

Point is, why bother doing a review with a stock amp and no fairy tale accesories? I know -- so you can get an indication what to expect when you buy one!

Now, what is the point of using these thousands of dollars worth of accesories when doing the review?

1) The reviewer feels he has more credibilty because he did the best he could. LOL IMHO

2) The reader gets the illusion of the NEED these accesories to get the sound the golden eared dude got. LOL -- good for the hobby - nope -- good for the dealers and the accessory manufacture? Of course!

3) The reviewer probably didn't pay for the accessories (or got a deal where if he did, and mentioned it enough in print, he'd surely get his money out of it when he ditched it) so they are pretty much transparent to him after his initial review of it (advertising in trade for the use of fairy tales IMHO)

4) The reviewer believes the system has become unlistenable without the use of the accessories! Well, if that's the case the Parasound amps SUCK, and so does the rest of his over priced ego driven shit. LOL

Sorry, just venting a little here. : )
