Re: ET LFT8 tweeter questions

The response in my listening room is flattest beween 7 and 12kHz with the tweeter in the middle setting. It is a remarkable +/- 1dB over the range when measured with 1/10 octave pink noise. At the high tweeter setting the tolerance widens to +/- 2dB. Although the difference is small, it is audible. The frequency response above 12kHz falls off at the listening position, measuring about -6 dB at 20kHz in my room. Be careful using inexpensive sound meters and microphones because these may have a significant droop at high (and low) frequencies or become quite directional. Don't become overconsumed with measurements for speakers, they are often difficult to interpret and only serve as a guide. Ultimately, it is what the ear hears that counts most.
