A user can normally expect some product performance variations, sometimes even failure (initial mortality) when such product is brand new. That is consistent with product reliability statisitcs typically used in engineering practice. I suspect some of the "breaking in" may also be the human brain coming to terms with the new reality. I have in the past experienced many instances when the product sounded best new out of the box and then degrades after a few hundred hours of operation. Am I more prone to change components over time? Maybe the psychologists here can elaborate.monk
