Re: 2 questions for both of you

I'm still experimenting with the spikes. Maybe its my room setup, but I seem to prefer a slight tilt back to my 1.6s. I have a set of longer spikes for the front base of the stands so I can get the tilt using spikes all the way around. I've also been playing around with using a set of the normal size spikes on the front of the base and no spikes on the back of the base (if any of this is making sense to you). With the spikes on the front and no spikes on the back, I get more bass impact (dare I say "slam"). When using the spikes all the way around (front and back) I lose that bass impact, but gain more clarity. Its a trade off and I'm not sure which set up I prefer yet. I probably will not fill the struts as I occassionally have to move the speakers for those moments when the children out number the adults for our New Years and summer parties.
