Thanks for your prompt and detailled answer.I have been considering the Mye stands for my 3.6. However, since freight to europe costs a small fortune, I finally decided to construct my own stands.
I just ordered two base platforms made in soapstone 24 x 20 x 1.5 inch. Soapstone is as inert a materal can be and also quite heavy. The struts will be made of 3/4 inch square aluminium sand filled tubs to be attached through the screw holes that are in the sides of the speakers. Each platform will probably rest on 3 cones or eventually Aurios bearings.
By the way, do you hear any difference due to the fact that the speakers now stand about 2" taller?
