I'd wait to see if the MG20.1 push-pull magnet design trickles down to affordable speakers. I personally don't think the value is there to warrant an upgrade. However, if you simple must & can't resist, get the MG3.6. Going from a 3-way down to a 2-way (even if MG1.6 has an extended bass response from your MG2.7), you will miss the inherent clarity of a dedicated midrange.Personally, if you have the money burning a hole in your pocket, I'd look back to Mr.Kim Catrall to bi-amping for even more clarity.
