RE: The Quad 63* "Delay Line"

Nothing from the factory. There are 3rd parties that have offered different caps. Are they better than the factory caps? Not in my experience. I've played with Crosby modified delay lines which used custom made caps of a type I don't know and replaced the resistors with Caddocks.

I've also played with film/foil polystyrene caps. Darned if I can hear any difference. But my ears are only tin plated so different/better caps might make a difference/improvement.

I am skeptical of any 3rd party that does modifications with boutique parts be it speakers, amplifiers, etc. The designers of equipment, at the least the better ones, have done all this in evaluating there equipment in many cases using custom made parts. At best the 3rd part replacements move things around a bit but rarely move the ball down the field.
