I agree with the sub suggestions if you decide to keep the 7's or 3.5's. But, buying the 20.7 might allow skipping the subs. In terms of high frequency response, all the vintage 3's and 20's have the same tweeter. I didn't buy a used set of 20's because my room would not work with them so I opted to use subs on my 3.6's.
BTW, my hearing taps out at around 13k, so I am in the same boat as you.
Digital at 44k sounds really good now, LOL.
