RE: Any Tympani-IV / T-IVa owners? Working on mine, and mods

Mine did not have any double-sided tape dividing the mid into 3 sections. Is that something that is missing in these and could be added on the exterior side where the wire is bonded to the mylar?

I've been noticing a 'hole' in the sound between 2-4kHz, and while reversing the phase of the mid seemed to help, it does not fully correct it. Some songs particularly with electric guitar have a weaker sound than I would hear on my prior setup, and/or other systems. What's strange is that my room EQ measurements don't show any major deficiencies in the speakers across those frequencies.
