That seems to a be common "fault" on Magnepans. It was also mentioned in the review of the 20.7 in Hifi News some years ago. It is surprising the left and right speaker are not better matched. My 3.6 are not well matched, one of the ribbon tweeters is 2-2.5 dB louder. While running a slow frequency sweep with both speakers connected, there is quite a bit of shift between the two speakers. My setup is also with an active crossover bass to mid. DSP is the way to go!
