If you substituted 10 gauge aluminum wire for 12 gauge copper wire to connect speakers, assuming a 2 to 3 meter cable length, there would be no detectible difference in sound as the resistance capacitance and inductance of the cables would be essentially the same at audio frequencies.
Of course you might BELIEVE you hear a difference, but that is not the same as there actually being a difference in the sound.
With a blind listening test, you would not be able to tell the difference.
