No hype here. From a purely sonics perspective I would have purchased Stands from Grant at Mye Stands, but my system is in our living area and the aesthetics are very important and the Airborne model fit in with our decor.
I have only previously used the stock stands (for several years) when the LRS are rotated into the system. I have had the Airborne's on and in the system for about a month now.
They make my black on black LRS look great with a modern flair.
The bass integration with my sub is better and other than turning the sub amplitude up a notch I came to the same setting as I used with the stock stands as being best.
The LRS actually sit about a half a foot closer to the front wall with the front edge of the feet now at the position I had for the stock stands.
The midbass in particular seems more accurate.
The illusion of no speakers in the room on well recorded material is even more convincing.
