I have Quad 57s fully redone by Kent at Electrostatic Solutions last spring and a pair of 63 USA Monitors he serviced a couple years ago. They are both exquisite-sounding speakers. Frankly, at this point, I don't want to part with either one of them!

I can't respond regarding new Maggies because I haven't heard them. I did have 1.6s in my system along with the ESL 63s and I thought the ESLs were better—no "Maggie grain"! I briefly auditioned the 1.7s and, honestly, I thought the 1.6s sounded better.

The Maggie LRS has been well received and I think you can audition them for 30 days with return privileges, shipped directly from Magnepan.

I'd say you are lucky to have such a good range of options.
