RE: 3.6r's To Bi-amp Or Not

I've bi-amp'ed my MG20's going on 9 yrs now the only regret is not going three way.

I use a Marchand XM44 two way; using a pair Emotiva XPA-1 always on the bottom and various tube and SS amps on the mid/top.

In one configuration The Emotiva pumped 1k watt of high current, tight-fisted bass whilst the top end was ran by a pair Quicksliver V4 200w tubers (above).

Advantage of bi-amping for me was zero strain from either amp along with the flexibility to switch in different amps along the way. In fact the Emotiva when push to (literally) wall shaking levels never once got hot.
