And I'm a Duetta owner!
Refurbished Apogee's hit the stratosphere in cost, I recently got a quote to replace my bass panels which would run > $5K; toss in another few grand for shipping. Complete restoration will reach 20.7i level. Any model above the duetta's and we're talking drive em' up there, get a room for a few days or weeks type money. Fortunately for me my panels only buzz when certain frequencies resonate -which is extremely rare due to my listening of only acoustic jazz or classical music. That's not to say they're not worth restoring, if I had the money I'd opt that route instead of spending the same amount of money on a new pair of today's "boutique" speakers out there.
Restoring a Diva, Scintilla, Full Range or Apogee Grand would be the holy grail as far as I'm concerned.
But at the end of the day Magnepans (IMHO) STILL remain the greatest value in all of audio.
