Hah - I know the feeling! :-))

I've been upgrading a 'Pearl' phono stage for a mate - the guy who built it chose to put the PS in a separate case and have the umbilical which joins the two ... come out of their front panels.

This looks crap - but it makes the build simpler; moving the umbilical to the back requires the power leads inside the PS case to pass alongside one of the power transformers - so the leads need to be shielded. :-((

Anyway, I tested the output of both channels after I had done this work - and measured the R channel to be 15% lower than the left channel. When I told my mate what I'd found - he said he'd noticed this ... and it drove him mad! :-))

So I will now change the value of R19 in the R channel cct, to equalise the output.
