Although I'm not using Maggies at this moment I remember my MG1.6's losing about 1 db in total volume on the left side on occasion; I would sit dumbfounded since nothing in my system had changed. They were purchased new and I could've shipped them back for service but I decided to wait it out.
2-3 days went by and the anomaly went away; simply vanished.
HOWEVER over the years on these pages I've seen posters mention the exact same issue (usually a 1 db drop on the left side) however, they did mention returning theirs to White Bear.
In my case the effect never returned.
I'm guessing in that situation it's a 'lukewarm' solder meaning it'll either go cold or stay active.
I'm SURE Magnepan is aware this effect and I'm not sure what type of repair they do when they're sent in for service.
I'm surprised they didn't come out with a statement saying to wait it out for a few days and if the effect did NOT go away to send them in.
