if you don't sit lower than the bottom of the ribbon or stand/listen above the top of the ribbon all is fine.
The problem with the short ribbons as lined up in the 2. speakers is they stop a foot and a half above the floor. Sound will be compromised when rolling around on that bear skin rug in front of the fireplace.
