RE: Will Magnepans work in my room?




The collective advice seems to be if you can afford a maggie (used or new) with true ribbon tweeter go for it as long as the speakers were well cared for. Else go with the best new Quasi ribbon that you can afford with a sub (for those that need full extension) starting with LRS, then to .7...

I have one 15 in. Rythmic sealed sub. For my set up with the LRS I roll the input to the LRS amp off at 70Hz with a passive filter and set the sub crossover at 80 Hz. With some good positioning and experimenting with gain. The sub integration is pretty seamless.
