I have used the ficus trees for years

First GL great looking ficus trees. Mine looked like Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, I had to add extra leaves to fill them out.

Have had great success with silk ficus trees, really tamed some bad rooms. I always looked at Magnepan rooms at shows. Fake plants behind the speakers, need to scatter that back wave.

When I had my 3.7i's with 4 trees behind each. This was the HK/Limage set-up, lots of room behind. I had a sliding glass door and fireplace behind them. Took a bad room and transformed it to a very good listening space.

My current townhome is a much smaller space, nearfield listening running MG12's.

Just went through a remodel and still trying to get things zoomed in. Removed a closet that opened up living room one speaker has a corner the other does not. Have volume balance issues between left and right, (corner). Also currently lacking in Goosebumps, need to play more with the set-up.
