Well, there's that! LOL. For sure, making a detailed comparison to the stock 1.6qr based on my memory of that long ago would be dubious at best. What I had in mind was broad, obvious impressions of the changes that I remember in comparison to the modded model I ended up with, but that may be of little interest to anyone now. I'll most likely stick to an A/B evaluation of the the models in house. The one I built based on the 1.6qr driver vs the stock 1.7i.

Self deception, confirmation bias, psychoacoustics, etc. Listening to sound systems is definitely a very personal experience. Trying to describe that experience in words to another person so they can paint the exact mental image of your experience in their mind is impossible. I suppose it's the intangible aspects of all this that keeps us coming back here to discuss things year after year.
