Did this several months after acquiring the MMG's, at the same time I did some delamination repair work. I am the second owner, they are ~ 2005 vintage.
No dramatic difference, to be sure... may have helped the focus a bit. Have to admit it may have been difficult to notice as I was so thrilled to be rid of the annoying occasional buzz. Should also note I didn't do the full 'razor' treatment, just the front face of the speaker.
