I have both 1.7i's and 3.6r's,once you've heard the Ribbon Tweeter its hard to listen to a Maggie without one. Also are you good with your hands? Only asking because the 3.6r's have some age on them and sooner or later they will probably need some Delamination attention. Not hard to do,I just did mine and the hardest part was removing all of the staples, than just cleaning up the Old glue and re-glueing the coils. But they Like POWER! I would say at least 400watts depending on listening levels. I had a thread recently involving repairing my speaker in case you want to look up what might be in your future if you choose the 3.6r's. The 1.7i is a great sounding speaker though, still needs power also.
