Not at all. My room set up is similar, except there are two windows flanking a fireplace on a short wall and the other short wall is missing (open to kitchen). The ceiling is about 10 feet. I have my 1.6's about 2.5 ft from the back wall slightly toed in to the listening position. Still sounds great! To my ears.
