I suggest you do not want to hang the XO box from the spkr connectors on the back-plate of the 3.6s.
The XO boxes should be on the floor - if you have the 3.6s jammed up against the front wall so there is not enough space for the XO boxes on the floor ... you should get rid of the 3.6s, as you're certainly not hearing them optimally. Sorry. :-((
