IIRC that's incorrect. I recall having auditioned the MG-20 when it first appeared in the market place and asked Mike Kay (at Lyric Hi-Fi), what's that rectangular box behind the speakers? He replied that it was optional and quoted me a price and its purpose (it was fairly expensive, so I thought) yada, yada yada. I wasn't exactly new to the use of a ARC X-O since he sold me a EC-2A (?) to biamp my Tympani 1Cs, both if which I purchased from him.
