See response to Grant's earlier post. The 24" LVLs were located across the outside wall with the fireplace and are completely out of sight. The contractor said that might be overkill, but sometimes such is just right!Of the three beams visible in the pics, only the one above the kitchen island is functional. You see the last six inches or so of triple-18s with decorative trim. That was part of the plan all along!
