Was that the mid-range fuse? When the mid goes out, it can be subtle as the range is partially covered by the woofer and the tweeter. Sometimes it is a shift in the image, a drop in volume, loss of "presence", etc. When the tweeter fuse goes out, it is usually pretty obvious. I spray Deoxit on the fuses and speaker posts about every 3 months. FWIW I use un-terminated magnet wire for the cables so oxidation is routine.
