Since you previously owned Apogees you have an idea what you'd be in for. How difficult is that buzz to repair and who can do it?

Do you still own the Gunned MMGs? I would think those with your MG 20s could scratch your planar itch?

Are you really wondering about MG 1.6s? $1,400 seems a high price for those, unless you are counting on pocketing the difference.

How about trying something different such as a higher efficiency design? See link -

Or looking used for one of the smaller open baffle models within that price range? Something with greater dynamics and bass extension than a smaller planar?
