RE: Mono blocks behind speakers?

Putting mono's behind a speaker (especially dipoles!) is a bad idea, even worse is putting them on the speakers feet, sound waves and feet vibrations are not exactly the things you want to inflict on your amp's! I'm always amazed to see people place amp's on(or near) speaker feet and then use some kind of vibration control device to fix a problem they self inflicted.

Putting them BESIDE the speakers(like Granty) is a good idea, 3 feet of decent sp cable is a lot cheaper than 9!
