Not necessarily so. You need the specs of how many watts it produces into 8 ohms and then into 4 ohms, to decide whether it has a stiff enough power supply to drive Maggies well.

For instance, the monoblocs I use on my bass panels I've measured to clipping (with dummy loads) as:
* 100w into 8 ohms
* 180w into 4 ohms.

Which is not too shabby! And they sound great. :-))
