I've been wanting to upgrade the Sony SS-CS5 speakers on my desktop. Options abound but lord knows I am spoiled by 15 years with my LFT8b's (originally 8a, field upgraded the tweeters). LFT16's would be an interesting route but cost and size are an issue. Not really interested in the mini-mags either.
What conventional speakers have you been happy with on your desktop? Do alternatives to dome tweeters capture any planar magic for you?
