I hope so. The Nines remain remarkable speakers, but they have some serious limitations, such as head-in-a-vice listening, that I think can be mitigated by modern technology.
What I'd really like to see myself is a segmented line source stat that uses delay like the ESL-63 for a cylindrical wave launch without a crossover.
Not exactly a high volume item, but it could be produced on a small scale.
