RE: Which way to stack 57s?

I had a wood-worker friend cut me a pair of stands for stacking my Quads, each side three layers of 3/4" MDF thick---2-1/4"! Very, very heavy. I designed them, the rails being 6" wide and floor to ceiling, with spikes on the bottoms and tops, to secure the stands to both the floor and ceiling. I wanted the Quads to be at heights enabling both seated and standing listeners ears to be at the middle of each panel, vertically. So I had the center of the bottom Quad at 36" from the floor, the top Quad butted right up against the bottom Quad. I did mount the bottom Quad upside down, to get the speaker connectors on the two Quads right by each other.
