I need to get my 57s completely refurbished and modernised. Presently, they are in a frame I inherited along with the speakers, and are stacked one on top of the other, thus:
Some have suggested that they should really be end-to-end - perhaps with the power supplies meeting in the middle. However, I wondered why this should be? How could that possibly improve the sound?
Any thoughts or experience of different configurations of stacked 57s would be appreciated. It will affect how I get them refurbished and ultimately re-stacked!
