It can all go many different ways depending on your preferences, the acoustic environment, the equipment and, ultimately, you willingness to mod/tweak the MMGs.
At the stage I am with my modded MMGs, I can live with them for a good while until I can afford 3.7s and a larger room for them. If you consider that I regularly listen to and/or have listened to far more costly speakers, with far "better" hardware, than mine, it may be encouraging for you to know that none of them make me feel envious. Well, yes, one...but it is another Maggie...
So, there are good futures ahead with the Maggies, and the MMGs can be one excellent way to get started.
