I have listened very close to the diagram on my Magnepan 1.7 to try to hear the 3 way system.
But I can only hear it as a two way.So now I made some measurements to see if the microphone can discovery it…
1. 10 mm in the diagram:
And here the measurements for 10 + 20 + 30 mm:
A: Blue=10 mm, B: Red=20 mm, C: Green=30 mmA: Blue=40 mm, B: Red=50 mm, C: Green=60 mmA: Blue=100 mm, B: Red=140 mm, C: Green=180 mmA: Blue=220 mm, B: Red=260 mmAnd here 3 measurements out in the room from 1 m + 2m + 3m:
A: Blue=1m, B: Red=2m, C: Green=3mAs you can see either my ears or the mic found the missing third speaker … Or is it the hi tweeter that is running from 6khz and up ?
So the crossover freq is 600hz and 6000hzAt last a measurement of the woofer without the att + fuse maybee the series crossover will be confused:
