Yes, it's fun (at least to the nuts on this asylum) to plug in different values to see the effect. However remember this is only the electrical side of the equation and does not take into account the acoustic response of the speaker. It is quite possible that a dip or peak in the electrical response is needed to balance an uneven acoustic response of the driver. The guys at Magnepan spend a good bit of time tuning the crossover - just look at the non-standard (E-12) values that they use.
Remember you can easily get a flat curve, just pick a frequency and plug in a 4th order symmetric L-R crossover. It doesn't mean it will sound good.
