but they do have an odd yellow look, along with a joint for attaching a metal threaded end (?) and a tie to the cross by the hub to add stiffness.
They also have a link where they have provided help to establish 2 bamboo bike manufacturing shops in Ghana and show a cargo bike with bamboo reinforced wheels for extra weight capabilities - and you can easily tell THAT'S bamboo.
