I never seem to understand what Davey is talking about :)
But I THINK he is referring to what is commonly called an RC Network. Which is just a cap and resistor in series.
The diagram above shows such a shunt and the choke.
FWIW Davey, if you are talking about an RC network, I had that on before I tried the choke, and the choke made more of a difference.
