Waz,You missunderstood my intent. This was not a comment on your setup, but more about HT systems in general. I know you will focus on the stereo sound first. Most people, even most "audiophiles", due to the constaints of space and family, will accept significant compromises to the stereo only presntation in their HT systems. (By the way those compromises also include less than optimal seating positions for stereo only presentations.) That's why stereo playback on an HT system is usually more like a minivan than a Porsche.
The flexibility needed to get the best stereo sound in any particular room is difficult enough. To add 3 to 5 more speakers, a sub or two, and a large TV screen, and still be able to optimize for best stereo reproduction is a daunting task. It requires a sufficently large room, total setup flexibility, and a clear understanding of how to integrate everything together.
Maggies, because you can never be too thin!
